Calmcuff is a blood pressure log. What you enter — your readings (systolic, diastolic and pulse), the time, the arm, your notes, your reminder times and the name you put on reports — is stored only on your own device. Calmcuff has no user accounts and no server of its own, and never sends this information to us or to anyone else. Because it is health information, we treat it as sensitive, which is exactly why it never leaves your phone. Reminders are scheduled on your device by iOS or Android; nothing is pushed from a server.
If you turn on sync in Settings, Calmcuff reads blood pressure and heart rate readings from Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, for example the ones your monitor's app saves there, and writes the readings you log in Calmcuff to them. This exchange happens on your phone only: Calmcuff never uploads health data, and never uses it for advertising, marketing or any purpose other than showing your readings, trends and reports in the app. We do not sell it or share it with anyone. You can turn sync off at any time in Calmcuff, and change or withdraw Calmcuff's access in the Health app or Health Connect settings. Readings Calmcuff wrote stay in Apple Health or Health Connect until you delete them there.
A report is an image created on your phone from your own readings. It is shared only when you choose an app or a person in your phone's share sheet, and then reaches only the recipient you picked, under that app's terms. Calmcuff keeps no copy and sends nothing to us.
Calmcuff shows no ads and contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. It does not ask for tracking permission and does not use your device's advertising identifier.
Logging, history, the weekly view and reminders are free. Calmcuff Pro is a yearly subscription (with a free trial if you are eligible) or a monthly subscription. Payments are handled directly by the App Store (Apple) on iPhone or by Google Play on Android — we never see your payment details. To confirm and remember that you have access, we use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription-management service, which receives an anonymous app user identifier and your App Store or Google Play purchase receipt, and gives us anonymous, aggregate subscription figures (such as how many people subscribe). RevenueCat never receives your readings, your name, or your email address.
We have no legal basis to state for processing your readings, because we never receive them: they are created, kept, and deleted on your device under your control, and exchanged with Apple Health or Health Connect only if you turn that on. Processing your purchase through RevenueCat is necessary to provide the subscription you requested.
Your readings stay on your device until you remove them. Delete all data in Calmcuff's Settings, or deleting the app, removes everything Calmcuff stored; we have no copy to keep or restore. Readings already written to Apple Health or Health Connect are kept there until you delete them in those apps. If you back up your phone (for example to iCloud on iPhone or to your Google account on Android), Calmcuff's data is included in that backup like any other app's, under Apple's or Google's terms. Purchase records are kept by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat under their own retention policies, not ours.
We do not sell, share, or transmit your readings to any third party. The one outside service Calmcuff talks to is RevenueCat, described above, and only to verify your purchase. Apple Health and Health Connect are on your own phone, and reports go only where you send them.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. Since Calmcuff sends us nothing to act on, these rights mostly concern the data on your own device, which you already fully control and can delete at any time. For any other question, email us at support@moksoftware.es. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es).
Calmcuff is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, of any age.
